Innocent Mirrors features photos I took at a children’s fair. As I walked around, I noticed that the kids’ activities mirrored those of adults, almost like a miniature version of society.

Drawing on Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s belief that society corrupts the natural goodness of children, the photos reveal how children, influenced by adults, mimic them in their play. I invite you, the viewer, to reflect on how societal norms shape the development of the young and the impact of our own actions on the world.
